Flying the A-10C II - Specialising in the Close Air Support role.

DCS ANZUS

Our Story

The 81st Fighter Squadron provides flying the A-10C Warthog II, operating out of Nellis Air Force Base on our public Server and currently deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Resolute Falcon.
We specialise in Close Air Support and operate down in the weeds where the wild men are.
The A-10C II has a vast number of weapon systems it can employ and it's a difficult aircraft to master .
New pilots will be provided training, but we ask that they have the basics of flying the aircraft sorted out before applying.

Flight Schedule

Training
The 81st FS has training nights on Tuesday and also on an ad-hoc basis as new pilot training requires. We also do mixed squadron training with other ANZUS squadrons and the 16BDE Apache's.

Operations
We participate in the Wing PvE campaign style missions, and have missions included that suit our role and speed to ensure we finish around the same time as the fast jet squadrons.
